The basic of how invites work is in the the post Rank system for Rigor Mortis. Higher rank means higher priority. The question that can then come up is how to get higher rank, when other people have the priority.
If you are new you will get some raid spot to show what you can do, the better you do the more raid spots are incoming. With the goal for most people being to get raider rank and start having on priority on invites themself. But until that happens you will only get invite for some raids.
The second important thing next to actually doing well when given the chance is attendance. Joining standby as a possible replacement for the raid group gives DKP and counts as attendance. Joining standby and being ingame or on vent during raid so we can actually get a hold of you, is seen from guild side as showing interest and commitment to wanting to be on raid team. Not joining standby when raid is full and you didn't get in is seen as not giving a crap about being on the raid team.
So come to the raids, do good if you get in, join standby if you don't. If we feel you are good enough you get more and more spots and end up with raider status. BUT until then raid spots can be limited. Its the system we have and the only choice is to work with it.
All that said, if you feel that you are getting fewer raid spots than you should within this system, plz do bring it up with officers instead of just slowly getting unhappy with guild. We are a only human and mistakes happen. |
