Real Name: Stefan
Country: Denmark
Age: 20

Character Name: Brow (some may remember me as Bruntus)
Character Class: Warrior
Character Level: 70
Character Build: Prot

WoW Armory Link:
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&n=Brow

Is all your gear enhanced with the best enchants and gems available for you?
Yes

Do you personally think you are geared for Illidan, Archimonde and Sunwell? If not, where about raid wise are you at?
I don't know for sure as I haven't tried it, but I guess I could manage. My gear might be little too weak to SWP bosses though.

Describe your previous raid experience:
TBC: 3/5 MH, 5/6 SSC, 3/4 TK, Maggy, Gruul, ZA and Kara, as both MT and OT.. Pre-TBC: BWL 8/8, MC, ZG, AQ20, Onyxia..

Tell us about the role of your class in raiding (and how your spec helps you accomplish this). Include in this discussion the consumables that you would normally farm and have for every raid. Additionally, if you use alternate gear in some situations, explain that briefly for us..
Alright, quite a massive bullet this one, so I'll divide it up a bit:
1) My role in a raid
I tank stuff, which is 3 things as I see it: 1, keeping your raid members from dying, 2 keeping yourself from dying and 3, generating the maximum amount of TPS.
2) My current specc vs. my role
I focus a lot on threat, and I have therefore limited the amount of points spend in the prot tree. I have focused on bringing the rage cost down on HS, Devastate, Revenge and Shield Slam, as well as increasing their effectiveness through Block Value, Crit Chance, Bleed Damage and Crit Bonus..
When it comes to mitigation I have all the basic talents covered, and have chosen Imp TC as well, as I most often found the need to keep it up myself.. depending on a raid setup, these points could be use in Imp Def stance or Cruelty for example.
3) Stats
I have 100% block rating with Shield Block up, (which I spam constantly) and I therefore also value Block Value high (also for threat purposes). Other than that, I have pure stam gems in my gear, as a large HP pool is needed vs spike damage and can give the healers that extra 0.5 sec to keep me alive. I am more than willing to change gems, if this is valued more.
4) Consumables
Flasks, elixirs, food, sharpening stones, bandages, Nightmare Vines, potions (almost any beneficial buff I can get, I try to get) is always stacked in my bank, and I normally bring in excess in case someone forgot something.. Pre-tbc, I spend days farming felwood and winterspring for flowers and eko's respectively, and I have continued this trend ever since..
5) Alternate Gear
I am capped in NR, FR and FrR, and started gathering mats for a full SR set before raiding stopped in my previous guild. I have a complete PvE dps gear, with gear from Kara to SSC and many badge items as well. I don't have much PvP gear, as I'm not really into PvP..

What don’t you like about your class in raids?
I don't fancy the current warrior abilities to hold aggro on multiple mobs, comparing to a druid or a pala.. Also, unlike a druid tank, warriors don’t do much dps.. This means that on some simpler fight, a warrior OT might end up being rather useless except for keeping up shouts and TC.. That being said, I love my class and above else being prot.. I am competent in playing both MS and fury warrior as well..

Raid Availability
I live alone in my own apartment, so unless I turn skizo or something, permission to raid isn’t a problem Smile

    Tuesday-----(18:40-23:00) - yes
    Wednesday-(18:40-23:00) - yes
    Thursday----(18:40-23:00) - yes
    Sunday------(18:40-23:00) - yes

Based on 4 days of raiding a week, how many days would you expect to be on?:
4, but as I'm only a human and do have a life on the side, I may be prevented from a raid every now and then..

Do you have a good internet connection and computer? Are you able and willing to talk on ventrilo if needed? The latter might be more important if you are a main tank type for example:
Check, check and check.. I've been practicing a sexy ventrilo voice for years, so that shouldn't be a problem. On a side note, I can calm you by saying that I only speak when asked to or required cus of my task, more or less.. You won't find me nagging the vent channel..

Previous Guild(s) AND Reason for leaving:
-Horde of the Danes: When I level'ed from 1-60, left cus I wanted to do PvE
-Iron Edge: for about a year, left as I took a break from wow
-The Black Fury: until TBC came out. had to quit wow cus of school/work
-Red Sun Rising, for 4 months, left as all the core players from The Black Fury (along with two RL mates) created Bladestorm
-Bladestorm, until today, leaving as I haven't been able to raid for ages, and don't enjoy the game when I just hang around shatt week in week out.. that's the short version at least, but it's overall similar to Bullham, Jacuzzi etc..

Were you in RM Before?
Nope

Do you understand that loot distribution might require you put in some time before you see any rewards?
Loot isn’t too important to me, as it usually tends to come along the way if you do a good job.. I care about raiding, trying new content, progressing and overcoming new challenges - and all of this amongst ppl that are mature and friendly.. Loot is a bonus for performing as a team..

Please rank the following concepts in terms of their importance for you. Use the top of the list as most important, and the bottom as least important:

    -Having a friendly gaming atmosphere
    -Balancing warcraft with real life
    -Getting world/server first kills
    -Playing your alt
    -Having guild organized pvp activity
    -PVP

Make yourself stand out. In 1 compact paragraph tell us why we should pick you and the real reason you want to join us:

I'm a dedicated player, who knows when to have fun and when to be 110% focused. I care a lot about my own performance, preparation and dedication. I like the team play aspect of the game, and I'm good at taking orders, but can also give directions when needed. I am a very fast learner and I love what I'm doing -> tanking! Overall, I play this game for the fun and sport of it, and that is reflected in my game play Smile

I hope that you see me as a potential candidate, although I know I'm aiming high - as you're quite an imba guild.. If you got any questions, whatever they may be, feel free to reply here or PM me ingame.. Smile

Best regards,
Brow

Blimey, Another familiar face =]

I can personally vouch for Bruntus here (or Brow or whatever..)
He's a very competent tank, and knows how to play his class very well.
Helpful, and not afraid to offer advice when it's needed.

Overall, a high class player.
I reckon he'd do well in RM.

Brow could fit in any end-game raiding guild. Always online, awesome skills, fully prepared. Actually wondered why he already isnt in one already..

Gear

It's a sad truth that tanks need a higher level of gear than anyone else to tank the newest, hardest places for their guild

Shadow res?

Uhh.. nice going, but it's not that important, really. you only need like.. 290 unbuffed. Plus the shadow res is only for Mother Sharaz, and like.. we dont take many grunts there, yet.

Oh, and I hope you didn't go and buy HoD's or anything

Ahh, my bad, when I say capped i mean 295 unbuffed, as paladin auras/shammy totems will get me capped..

Well, it's nice to have as who knows when I would need it.. I guess it will also be ok in wrath until I get my hands on better equipment..

And I'm making Night's End + the 4 plate items.. Any chance that someone in RM is able to make it?
